Even if I break one, I'll probably buy these again - great product. I keep one at work and one at home and use them nearly every day. I've had my Bodum mugs for about a month now and love them so far - they are still in one piece. Except for their fragility, I would recommend these mugs to everyone; they help keep your beverage warm, don't burn your hands, and are fun to look at.
Great design though I am not sure they really keep a cup of coffee hot any longer than a ceramic mug.
I would still recommend them and will probably buy more when he breaks this last one. Since they are double wall, they make twice as much glass to find and clean up. My husband is very hard to buy for, but had broken his last clear glass coffee mug so I got him two of these for his birthday. He loved them but has already broken one.
Sorry Bodum, you won't be getting any more of my money. Serious design flaw if you ask me, and unacceptable for glasses that cost over $30 just for 2. These definitely look cool when you pour your coffee into them, but after one wash, they accumulate water in the clear "chamber" between the seals. I guess this is due to them being "hand blown" which leaves a small hole at the bottom of the glass.
I will continue to add to my collection of Bodum glassware. Being insulated, my coffee stays hot longer and the mugs are surprisingly lightweight and can be put in the dishwasher. I love these mugs. These are not my first mugs by Bodum but this size is more to my liking than the larger ones.
